The Government Expands Covid-19 Examination Location, Here is the List

The government through the Ministry of Health responded quickly as the establishment of Covid-19 as a global pandemic by expanding the locus of Covid-19 examining laboratories in Indonesia.

This is stated in the Decree of the Minister of Health No. HK 01.07 / MENKES / 182/2020 concerning Coronavirus Disease Examination 19 Network Network (Covid-19).

Through the decree, the government officially appointed Balitbangkes as the National Reference Laboratory for Covid-19 Handling and 12 Covid-19 Examination Laboratories and their working areas.

Here are the details:

1) Jakarta Health Laboratory Center with working areas in Maluku, North Maluku, West Sumatra, North Sumatra and Aceh.
2) Palembang Health Laboratory Center with working areas in Bengkulu, Bangka Belitung, South Sumatra, Jambi and Lampung.
3) Makassar Center for Health Laboratory with working areas in North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, South Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi.
4) Surabaya Center for Health Laboratory with work areas in South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan.
5) Papua Research Center and Health Development with working areas in Papua and West Papua.
6) Jakarta Institute of Environmental Health and Disease Control Engineering with working areas in Riau, Riau Islands, West Java, West Kalimantan and Banten.
7) Surabaya Institute of Environmental Health and Disease Control Engineering with working areas in East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara.
8) Yogyakarta Center for Environmental Health and Disease Control Engineering with working areas in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and Central Java.
9) DKI Jakarta Regional Health Laboratory with working areas in DKI Jakarta.
10) Eijkman Molecular Biology Institute with working area in DKI Jakarta
11) Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia with work areas in Dr. RSUPN Cipto Mangunkusumo and Universitas Indonesia Hospital.
12) Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University with working areas in Dr. Sutomo and Airlangga University Hospital.

It was stated in the sixth dictum that the specimen testing process in the 12 Covid-19 examination laboratories and in the national reference laboratories for the Covid-19 examination are free or free.

In addition to examining the 12 laboratories, the government also collaborated with 3 private laboratory networks to further strengthen and accelerate the process of examining Covid-19 specimens, so that as soon as possible they could find positive cases to be isolated so as not to become a source of transmission in the community.

The three networks are the Siloam laboratory network, the Kalbe laboratory network and the Mother Group laboratory network.

Meanwhile 10 thousand Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) kits have been received by the government and some have been distributed to BBTKL and the Environmental Health Engineering Center (BTKL). It is planned that this number will continue to be increased to meet the needs of specimen inspection in the country.
