Independence Day - 2022
Post celebrated 76th Independence Day in Medan. It was attended by around 350 guests. These guests include, members of the Indian community, Indian origin community, Consul Generals, Diplomats, honorary consuls, Indonesian government authorities, members of Indonesian defence forces and other prominent individuals from Medan. Indian kids also attended the event.
2. Consul General Shubham Singh hosted the flag and read the excerpts from the address of Hon’ble President Smt Droupadi Murmu.
3. Students from University of Panca Budi, Medan presented a medley of Indian and Indonesian cultural shows. Marching Band from Al-Azhar Asy-Syarif Sumatera Utara School played the tune of National Anthem, National Song, Qadam Qadam Badaye Ja and a medley of Bollywood songs. Students from University of Sari Mutiara Indonesia, University of North Sumatra, University of Potensi Utama, Indian origin Tamil community and Sikh community also presented cultural programmes.
4. Guests were served with Indian snacks.
